The Magic Ballet Shoes

There was once a boy named Zoom who owned a pair of magic ballet shoes. Whenever he wore them he could run so fast that he looked like a small tornado!                                                                                                                                      One day Zoom was told he had to compete in a running race. He had to run around a small island next to Australia called Zwomp. He was very exited. When it was  6:00 he decided that he should go to sleep early for the next few days, so he did.                                                                                                                                                                                 That same night a girl who was in the race came up to Zoom’s house and knocked on the door. Zoom woke up and opened the door. As quick as a flash, the girl hid behind a bush and through a rock into the road. Zoom went to  pick the rock up  whilst the sneaky girl crept into the house. The girl’s name was Brenda and she was a very fast runner. She was very jealous and wanted to steal the shoes, so Brenda ran silently up the stairs and then went into Zooms bedroom and quickly hid in the wardrobe. When  Zoom came back into his bedroom he got into bed and went to sleep. Brenda snuck out from her hiding place and looked under the bed, there was a box with a lock on it. She took the box and rushed downstairs to look for the key. She looked in all of the draws and all of the cupboards, but she couldn’t find the key. Next she tried looking under the sofa and under the doormat, but still there was no key. After  ten minutes of looking downstairs, Brenda looked upstairs. After five minutes Brenda had found the key, it was on top of the bedroom cupboard! She took it and went downstairs to unlock the box that was on the  table. Brenda took out the shoes and ran out of the door.                                                                                                                                            On the day of  the race, Zoom got up, and had a  nice, healthy breakfast,  a banana and a bowl of cornflakes.  He was already fully dressed except that he didn’t have his shoes on. After he had fished his delicious breakfast he went to the bathroom. The first thing that he noticed was that the door was wide open and then he noticed that the key had vanished, and so had the box! He sprinted down the stairs and then he saw it. The box, the key, the muddy footprints, the open door, but no shoes. Then he realised that he could follow the footprints and find the robber. so he set of in his slippers. Down the sleepy street he went and finally he found the girl. he knocked on the door and shouted in his loudest voice,” GIVE ME BACK MY SHOES!” The one thing Brenda hated was shouting so she obeyed ran off . Next Zoom went to the bustop and put on his shoes. When he got there he run at one hundred miles per hour and one the race.

Emily And The Magic Elves (Grace B.)

There once was a young girl called Emily Hope. One warm, summer day Emily was playing in her back yard when suddenly, she saw a bright, blue, shining portal behind an old tree. She thought she was just imagining it and wondered if she should go through it or just leave it and carry on playing. She was unsure so decided to just leave it and carry on playing but, later when she was playing she tripped over a stick and fell into the portal…

When Emily woke up she found herself in a different place, a place she didn’t know…

As Emily looked around her she saw a magical looking forest. Flowers glittered like beautiful gems in the glistening sunshine. Emily was slightly scared but amazed at the secret land she had discovered. She started to explore and that’s when she saw foot prints leading further into the woods. Of course Emily followed them and when they stopped she saw tiny houses in tree stumps and what looked like elves. Emily hid behind a bush and thought of what to do. She went up to the elves and asked if they could help her and they said yes. The elves had different powers one with fire, one with earth, one with water and one with wind. Emily was glad she found the magic elves but she didn’t think that they were the only ones in that fantasy world. Emily was confused if she was dreaming or if it was real. The elves said that if Emily wanted to get home they would have to find 4 magic keys which held the powers of the elves. They were hidden all over the fantasy world.

Emily said ” But how will we find all 4 keys if they’re all around this world?”

That’s when the wind elf came in and told her that the elves had dragons with the same powers as the elves. Emily was amazed in what she was experiencing. First she met magic elves and now she will be riding a dragon! As they set off on the dragons of fire, water, earth and wind the elves and Emily finally found all the keys but…  suddenly they heard an evil laugh!

Emily gasped “Who is that?!”

All the elves cried “Oh no not her!”

And there behind them was the evil goblin queen.

“Looking for some keys are you?” asked the queen.

“We’re not telling you!” replied the elves.

Emily and the elves tried to fly away on their dragons but the evil goblin queen’s dragon was too fast.

In her evil voice she said “Give me your keys! I’m going to make a spell with all the keys so I can take over the world!”

“No!” cried the elves and they flew away as fast as they could.

Luckily they escaped from the goblin queen and flew back to the to elf village to make the portal, but standing there was the evil goblin queen with a villanous grin on her face! What would Emily and the elves do now?!…

The Arctic is my Home (Elinor)

Piper the polar bear lives with her Mum, Dad and her four annoying brothers. This big family has a house with a frozen floor on a large iceberg (which was how they liked it.) The bickering between the boys was too much for Piper and her parents, so they decided to go for a holiday to another ocean. The transport they were going to take was swimming or sailing on an iceberg,  which was the easiest way. On Tuesday they pushed the iceberg out to sea but without Piper, who was collecting fish and food for the feast. She shouted and called but they couldn’t stop they were sailing through the deep dark sea. Piper was lonely and stranded on a rocking surface, it was smooth with spots dotted around but it started to move almost as if it was gliding through the water. Suddenly, a sharp horn appeared into the salty sea air. Holding on for dear life she clambered into the sea and swam right beside the creature, soon realising …  it was a narwhal. Immediately, the narwhal stopped in its tracks, leaving bubbles behind his long thin tail. Then with a booming voice it politely asked why she was in the deep dark ocean alone.  Piper explained the tragedy that happened earlier that day and asked if the narwhal could give her directions. “Yes”, cried the narwhal and so the polar bear described her family without missing any details. Through the stormy sea and crashing waves they battled their way to a swarm of fish and feasted for their tea and the narwhal said, “Goodbye my friend, I’d rather have shrimp for tea.” After she loaded her tummy full of fish, she swam looking for a still cold surface that she could rest on.  After a long rugged search, she clambered on finding the most comfortable spot where she could sleep, without any one disturbing her. She dreamt of her family and their worries before being woken up by an awful screeching noise coming from the other side of the ocean. Squinting from the sun, she slowly strolled trying not to wake up any other animals, as they did to her the night before. She adventured wondering where that awful noise came from. It was coming from a colony of penguins all huddled together.  As the penguins noticed that she was looking lonely, he offered to help.  “I will guide you”, he said.  The other penguins remembered seeing some polar bears, floating by on an iceberg yesterday. The bears were following the traces of a little lost polar bear, hoping to find its home. If they retraced their swim they might be able to catch up with them.  “I am the little lost polar bear, do you know what direction they went in?” said Piper. “They went east… wait a minute isn’t that your family on that iceberg?” Piper was already swimming towards it and said her thanks. The Artic is my home.
