As part of our module on newspaper reports, 5AC watched a fantastic and mysterious short video called Road’s End from the Mystery Shed on the Literacy Shed website.
They discussed what they thought was going on in lots of detail, then worked together to plan a newspaper article based around the main event.
With the class plan for support, they wrote their own articles. A few examples of what they produced are included below.

I was happily playing with my friends. I had a person I didn’t like, he was called professor crocodile the difficult. Suddenly, I saw a purple, twisted Pokemon card on the floor. I picked it up and suddenly got telliported to a land of Pokemon. I was amazed. I looked around with satisfaction. Immediately a note came up infront of me. It said welcome to the land of Pokemon, then another note came up it said this time you are a trainer here are some pokeballs . I suddenly saw a pokemon, it was a charizard. I caught the fantastic Pokémon.
